Match Report

A slow start but ended on a high…

Both teams paid their respects to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh before today’s game with a minutes applause. The ref’s whistle blew and the match was underway. Parkwydnn started to pass the ball around keeping possession very well but just couldn’t make the breakthrough. Against the run of play Winton took an early lead. For the rest of the half Parkwyddn maintained the higher rate of possession and eventually the ball was in the back of the net, however the ref blew and the goal was ruled offside. The half came to a close and it was time for the team talk. The second half kicked off and whatever was said during the break put a bit of fire back in their bellies and it was game on. Both teams came close to scoring early on in the half but it was Parkwyddn who broke the deadlock taking the lead. With their heads lifted and confidence high Parkwyddn gained control of the match finding the net again. It wasn’t long and the game was out of reach with Parkwyddn comfortably taking the win. It was a game played in the right spirit both teams respecting each other. Well done to both.
